Comfort Quality Price - I have just returned from Humphries in Droitwich, with a pair of these. Couldn't be happier and thank goodness they helped me find the right size, which was very different to my usual high street size. Marvellous pair of shoes, the leather even began to soften a little in the showroom. I have them on now and they are comfortable but I am expecting them to mould a little more to my high instep, so 4 stars now and hopefully 5 stars in a week or two. Certainly 5 star on price as they were offered at a very attractive price. Without question 5 star on quality.

This is my second purchase from Loake. I purchased a pair of burgundy 'Wedge' around 18 months ago which are exceptionally comfortable, hard-wearing and stylish. I bought these in my usual size 9 and found them to be fractionally larger than a standard 9.
Embarking on my quest to find the Ashby in an 8.5, I found it extremely difficult to find a stockist that wasn't in central London; all the department stores within 20 miles or so proving fruitless, but I wanted to try them on to ensure a proper fit. I eventually found a pair in Jones the Bootmakers and tried them on.
Excellent fit, fantastic quality with beautiful calf leather. My one small niggle is the price, but you do get what you pay for.
Highly recommended.
